Traditional high schools have the potential to transform into Innovative Pathway (IP) Schools by completing the application process with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The primary objective of Innovation Career Pathways is to equip students with both theoretical and practical knowledge in high-demand industries, such as information technology, engineering, healthcare, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing. MassHire plays a crucial role in the establishment of IP programs by providing labor market data and facilitating employer development.
These pathways are structured to cultivate strong partnerships with employers, enabling students to explore diverse career opportunities and acquire valuable knowledge and skills pertaining to their chosen field of study, even before they graduate from high school.
