Synergizing Efforts: Internships used to help

The H.E.A.L. Collaborative with New Space

MassHire North Central joined forces with The HEAL Collaborative, providing funding for a STEM-driven work project to bring teen together and generate income. From this partnership, seven motivated youth were selected and sponsored by MassHire to embark on this unique journey. Working together cohesively, they meticulously devised and constructed a mobile Café to accompany their new facility in Winchendon.

This project called for applying STEM knowledge in architecture, design, and craftsmanship. Mentored throughout, these young minds gained invaluable real-world experience and wisdom from field experts. The team not only pitched their idea for board approval of the project but also incorporated innovation and sustainability into their structure.

The MassHire and TheHEAL Collaborative partnership presented an exceptional opportunity for youth to hone STEM skills, teamwork, and contribute to a community project. Beyond practical learning, it instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment in their remarkable work.
